Odisha Medical Admissions

Odisha does not have its own medical entrance examination. Students are admitted in Medical and Dental colleges in Odisha on the basis of their results in the AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test).

Admissions into the MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS courses take place through an online counseling procedure that is conducted every year by the Employment and Technical Education & Training (ETET) Department, Government of Odisha through the following website: www.ojee.nic.in. This counseling is also conducted for Engineering and Architecture courses.

The Employment and Technical Education & Training (ETET) Department conducts this counseling in 2 rounds. The first round or the ‘Provisional Allotment Round’ is for all students and has reservations for all categories. The second round of counseling, known as the ‘Final Allotment Round’ is conducted for seats that are left vacant after the first round.

To apply for the counseling, you will need to register on the above mentioned website by entering details about yourself.

After you register on the OJEE website, you will need to select the colleges you wish to join in order of preference. You will have to mark your choices/preferences based on two main factors:

1. The colleges you wish to join.

2. The colleges that are likely to admit you based on your rank. Go through the ranks that were admitted by a particular college last year for your course. You can obtain the ranks of last year from the counseling website.
