For admissions into the remaining 50% seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges in Kerala (which are not available through the below mentioned counseling), please contact the college/institution directly.
The engineering counseling is conducted for all the State Quota seats (100%) in Government Engineering Colleges in Kerala and for 85% State Quota seats in Government Aided Engineering Colleges in Kerala.
Additionally, 50% State Quota seats in Private Engineering Colleges in Kerala are allotted through this counseling. All these State Quota seats are reserved for Kerala State Domiciles.
Admissions into the remaining 50% seats in Private Engineering Colleges in Kerala are not conducted through the Central Allotment Process (CAP). Contact the college directly for admissions under this category.
Your goal is to get admission in a suitable college. The test result becomes the basis for the admission.
Once the results are announced, you will participate in an online counseling procedure known as the ‘Central Allotment Process’ or CAP. The counseling is conducted by the ‘Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala’.
After you register on the CEE website, you will need to select the colleges you wish to join in order of preference. You will have to mark your choices/preferences based on two main factors:
1. The colleges and courses you wish to join.
2. The colleges and courses that are likely to admit you based on your rank. Go through the ranks that were admitted by a particular college last year for your course. You can obtain the ranks of last year from the counseling website.
Base your decision on these two factors and make multiple choices to ensure that you receive an admission. There is no limit on the number of choices you can submit.
It’s equally important to rank your choices correctly. The highest level choice with an available seat will be allotted to you.
Once you’re allotted a seat, you will need to report to the institute in due time and get your documents verified as well as submit the admission fee to confirm your seat.
For further information regarding the counseling procedure, please visit the following websites: www.cee.kerala.gov.in and http://www.cee-kerala.org.
