Chhattisgarh Medical Admissions

Students will be admitted into Medical and Dental colleges in Chhattisgarh on the basis of their results in the Chhattisgarh PMT CG-PMT.

Admissions through the CG-PMT will be conducted for 85% ‘State Quota’ seats in Government Medical and Dental colleges as well as 50% ‘Government/State Quota’ seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges in Chhattisgarh.

Admissions into the remaining 15% seats in Government Medical and Dental colleges are conducted by the DGHS under the ‘All India Quota’ on the basis of AIPMT results through the following website:

Admissions into the remaining 50% seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges are not conducted by Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh. Contact the private college/association directly for further details.

What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the counseling?

To be eligible for the admissions in medical colleges in Chhatisgarh, you should be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh (as per current Chhattisgarh Govt. norms).

You should not be less than 17 years of age and not more than 25 years of age as on the 31st of December of the year of the counseling. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for reserved candidates.

You should have passed your Class 12th examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as your main subjects. Your aggregate percentage in these 3 subjects should be not less than 50% (45% for PH candidates and 40% for SC candidates). Additionally, you should have passed each of these 3 subjects individually along with English.

Additionally, you will be eligible for admission if you have passed any other examinations which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the 10+2 (Medical Group) of an Indian University/Board taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects with the required percentage of marks.
