Admissions into the B.E/B.Tech courses take place through an online counseling procedure that is conducted every year by the ‘Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations’ Cell through the following website: www.ojee.nic.in.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations Cell conducts this counseling in 2 rounds. The first round is for all students and has reservations for all categories. The second round of counseling is conducted for seats that are left vacant after the first round.

What percentage of seats is the counseling conducted for?

Additionally, the counseling is also conducted for all the seats in B.E/B.Tech programs offered by Private Engineering colleges.

Out of the total seats that are available for allotment in any Private Engineering college, 80% are reserved for Odisha State Domiciles.

From the remaining 20% seats, 15% seats are for candidates from across the country who are admitted on the basis of their JEE (Main) marks and 5% for NRI candidates.

What is the counseling procedure?

Once the JEE (Main) results are announced, you will participate in an online counseling procedure which will be conducted by the ‘Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations’ Cell through the following website: www.ojee.nic.in.

After you register on the OJEE website, you will need to select the courses and colleges you wish to join in order of preference. You will have to mark your choices/preferences based on two main factors:

1. The colleges and courses you seek.

2. The colleges and courses that are likely to admit you based on your rank. Go through the ranks that were admitted by a particular college last year for your course. You can obtain the ranks of last year from the counseling website.

Base your decision on these two factors and make multiple choices to ensure that you receive an admission. There is no limit on the number of choices you can submit.

It’s equally important to rank your choices correctly. The highest level choice with an available seat will be allotted to you.

Once you fill your choices, you will have to report at the designated ‘Nodal Center’ and get your documents verified as well as pay the counseling fee and university registration fee. You also have to confirm/lock your choices at the nodal center.

All payments have to be made through separate account payee Bank Drafts drawn from any scheduled bank in favor of ‘OJEE 2014’, payable at Bhubaneswar.

Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of merit in due time. The first round is a ‘Provisional Allotment Round’. Any seat allotted in this round is not final and is subject to upgradation.

Once you’re allotted a seat in the Final Allotment Round, you will need to report to the institute within 3 days of the publication of the result and get your documents verified as well as submit the admission fee to confirm your seat.
