You can make money in any field when you become good at what you do. You could, for example, come up with a commercially viable breakthrough and become a millionaire overnight. Having said so, you may find it difficult to succeed in research intensive careers if your primary goal is to make money. Research careers often require PhD level education and can take years of laboratory work to complete.
