Whether IT sector is better or merchant Navy as a career
Can't compare apples and oranges.
In the IT sector, you work in an office, solve business problems through the use of technology, at most times while working on a small aspect of a large application. Since a lot of work happens for clients abroad, you may find the opportunity to travel to client locations globally. Since the IT sector continues to grow faster than most other industries, opportunities for growth are plenty. In merchant navy, you work on board a ship, either navigating a ship or maintaining and taking care of the equipment that runs the ship. You will sail for long durations, away from family and friends. You should choose this option if you seek the adventure of sailing in the sea.
