Admissions to medical and dental colleges in Punjab for residents of Punjab in the year 2015 will happen through the PMET 2015. 85 percent of the seats in government colleges in Punjab will be filled through the PMET. The remaining 15 percent seats in government colleges in Punjab will be filled under the All India quota through the counselling carried out by CBSE based on AIPMT scores. In private colleges, 50 percent of the seats are government quota seats and will be filled through the PMET and the subsequent counselling. The remaining 50 percent seats are assigned as management quota seats, for which you will need to contact the colleges directly.

Eligibility

Candidates must be 17 years of age by the 31st December of the year of admission. They must have obtained minimum 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together while passing each individually. They should have also passed in English. And they should be bonafide residents of Punjab. 

Test Details 

The Test shall be three hours long consisting of 200 multiple choice questions, 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each question will carry four marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. 

Results and Counselling

After evaluation, you will receive your result rank-wise as per the category to which you belong. The Ranking shall be solely based on the result of PMET-2015. This Ranking will be drawn to give an approximate idea to the candidate with regard to his/her relative position based on the PMET-2015. After the declaration of the result, candidates will fill online admission application cum choice filling form at http://bfuhs.ac.in/. Seat/college will be allocated as per the merit cum choice/preference filled by the candidate.
