To be eligible for the counseling, you should have scored not less than 50% in the entrance examination (40% for SC/ST/PC candidates).

You will not be eligible for admission into a college if you or your authorized representative do not report for the counseling personally.

Before you report for the counseling, make sure you research in detail about the courses and colleges you can join through this counseling procedure. You should be clear about at least your top 5 choices/preference before you step in the hall for counseling.

You will need to reach the counseling venue mentioned on the ICAR website on the specified date. Reach the venue in time along with all your important documents for verification and admission fee deposit.

Once you reach the venue, you will need to fill a ‘Counseling form’ in which you will have to mention the courses and colleges you wish to join in order of preference. Mark your choices/preferences based on two main factors:

Base your decision on these two factors and make multiple choices to ensure that you receive an admission.

After the counseling begins, you will have to submit your counseling form along with originals and copies of all your documents including your mark sheets, admit card etc. at the ‘Document Checking Desk’.

Once your documents are verified, you will be allotted a seat on the basis of your preferences and rank. You will need to submit the admission fee as specified on the ICAR website once you’re allotted a seat.
